Tower Modifications and Upgrades

Today a majority of towers need some form of structural reinforcement.  Whether its an aging tower or a tower that is at its full load capacity, a modification can provide a cost effective alternative for tower owners. Maintaining aging towers and accommodating carrier upgrades requires an AISC certified fabricator that has been pre-approved by tower owners.  Tower Innovations meets all of these requirements. Tower Innovations has been manufacturing and fabricating modification materials for many years and we are excited to work with you on your next tower modification.

Painted Towers

The FCC has been given the authority by Congress to require the painting and/or illumination of antenna towers when it determines that such towers may otherwise constitute a menace to air navigation. 47 U.S.C. § 303(q). The FCC rules governing antenna tower lighting and painting requirements are based upon the advisory recommendations of the FAA, which are set forth in two FAA Advisory Circulars. 47 CFR §§ 17.21-17.58. Although the FAA lighting and painting standards are advisory in nature, the FCC rules make the standards mandatory.  Tower Innovations has developed application methods during fabrication to insure paint remains on the tower or modification materials and remain chip resistant for many years following installation.
